Biometrics have now been added to the app. You can now Sign in, Publish orders and buy PilotPoints with the biometrics on your phone. Please keep in mind that if your phone supports more than one type of biometric (i.e. Finger print and Face recognition) on many phone you will need to select in settings to change the default for which type is used.
When you log in, the application asks, if you would like to use biometric authentication to log in to our app. If you select ”Yes”, depending on your phone, you can use either finger print or Face ID / face recognition -authentication to make orders in our system. If you select “Not now”, then the application asks you to input a PIN code as usual which you will need to publish orders as an orderer.
On the Settings-page you can turn it off and back on.( biometric setup -> enable biometric authentication) When you turn it off and press yes, the system asks you to create a PIN code to make orders. Your PIN code is needed to make orders and buy PilotPoints.
If you log out from the app and biometric authentication is on: when you log back in, the application does not ask for a PIN code, because it remembers that the setting is on ( The Face ID -icon will appear on the screen). If you turn it off and then log out, then when you log back in next time, the system asks you to create a new PIN code.
Attention! There may be differences between phones. So for example, even though your phone has Face ID / Face recognition -feature, this feature doesn’t work on every phone model. So check the features of your phone model from the internet.
