Registering and creating a Worker profile

The use of our service requires registration, which is free!

1. Download the app or use the web version

2. Register for the service

Registering for the service requires an email address, name, phone number, and creating your own password. 

When registering, you have to select your service. WorkPilots offers services for different uses, some of which are open to everyone and private only for a certain group of users:

• Choose open platform to everyone in Finland 
• Or if you have received a private code for the service, enter it in the field reserved for it when registering. 

Finally, accept the terms of use of the service and then press "Register". After this, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your username. Press "Confirm" in the email message and you are ready to use the service!

Note, it is important to use a valid email address in the service, because emails provide important information to the user (receipts for orders, contracts for tasks, etc.). Appearing with false personal or company information is not allowed.

3.Log in and select a role

You can log in to the service with your email address and password. 

The first time you log into the service, you will be asked if you want to register as a worker or as an orderer. The role can also be changed later with the same user. Below you will find instructions for creating an worker's profile.

4.Creating the worker profile

Basic information on profile

When you have chosen the role Worker, next choose a contract type for your profile (eg. self-employed or company).

Add a profile picture and short description about yourself / your company, so that the Orderer’s can now you a bit better. Good picture and description are very important, because they help you make a good first impression on the Orderers when you apply for their task. 

Add also your home address and define maximum distance in which you want to see open opportunities. When using the app, you can also utilize current location of the phone. 

Choose the categories in which you are interested in, to see open opportunities relating to them. 

You can modify all of this information later from “Profile settings”.

Social security number and bank account number

In order to pay work compensation we need the worker’s bank account number as well as the social security number for reporting to the tax authorities.

Nowadays we automatically fetch the tax rate from the tax authorities, which means that it is not requiren anymore to enter the tax rate into the user profile. Hoever, we recommend checking from the tax authorities that the income limits are up to date. 

This information is not visible to anybody else except the service administrators and they are used for paying the work compensation. They are stored in a high security environment. See more on safety here.

Creating CV

Our service also offers a possibility to create your own digital CV, where you can enter your skills and experiences. The CV also collects feedback on the tasks completed through WorkPilots, and it can be easily utilized in the future by sharing a link to it.
